About My Art
Rooted in the wild beauty of North Wales, I paint the shifting light, sea, and mountains in expressive oils, capturing not only the landscape itself but the feeling of moving through it. The coastline, the peaks, and the sweeping skies are a constant source of inspiration—places where weather, colour, and mood can change in a moment.
When I paint, I try to hold onto those fleeting sensations: the sting of salt in the air, the weight of a gathering storm, the quiet heat of late afternoon sun on stone. Each brushstroke becomes part of that experience, layered with memory, emotion, and the energy of the moment.
Working outdoors and back in the studio, I follow instinct as much as observation, letting the landscape guide the marks I make. The result is work that sits between representation and expression—anchored in place, yet alive with the atmosphere of being there.
